New Canon Software Updates Available

New updates for Canon's Digital Photo Pro Software, the EOS Utility, Picture Style Manager and the WFT Utility for Mac & Windows have just been released. The updates include support for the upcoming Rebel T2i, a new horizon correction feature in the Trimming Tool in DPP and updates to allow support in Mac OSX 10.6.

The updates are available for download from the Canon USA website here. Click the Drivers & Downloads tab and then choose your operating system to access the new files.

Nikon Camera Control Pro 2 update

Nikon has just released an update for Camera Control Pro 2, the software for remote camera control. Click here download the newest update 2.7.1 for Windows or Mac.
This software includes updates to make it more compatible with new features such as auto ISO and auto focus options available on the most recent firmware for the D3 and D700 cameras.

Canon EOS 40D gets update

The new firmware update to Version 1.1.1 for the EOS 40D incorporates fixes and improves the battery indicator, self cleaning sensor errors, Direct Printing issues, AF-assist beam when using a Speedlite and functionality of the camera's sync terminal. Download Version 1.1.1.

5D Mark II Firmware Update

From Canon's Website:
Firmware Update Version 1.0.7 improves and mitigates the following two types of image quality phenomena that occur under certain shooting conditions.

1. "Black dot" phenomenon (the right side of point light sources become black)
2. Vertical banding noise

Firmware Version 1.0.7 is for EOS 5D Mark II cameras with firmware up to version 1.0.6. If the camera's firmware is already version 1.0.7, it is not necessary to update the firmware. When updating to Firmware Version 1.0.7, please also update the Digital Photo Professional (new version 3.5.2) and Picture Style Editor (new version 1.4.2) software.

Updates Mk II.0

Canon has posted updates for most of their EOS software. Updates, pertaing mostly to the soon to be released 5D Mark II, include new versions of Digital Photo Professional, WFT Utility, Picture Style Editor, EOS Utility and RAW Codec for the 5D Mark II. To download the updates, go to Canon's 5D Mark II product page, click the "Driver's & Downloads" tab and select the operating system that needs to be updated.
